Erin Adamek is a licensed, certified Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas. She has 15+ years of experience serving children and adults, and has worked in a variety of settings. Erin attended The University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree, and then Baylor University in Waco, TX, earning a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Shortly after graduation, Erin began her career working with adults recovering from Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) at an inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation facility. She enjoyed the opportunity to help develop the young adult program at the rehabilitation center before transitioning into the world of pediatric therapy.
Erin has experience serving children of many ages and diagnoses in a variety of settings, including public schools, private practice, and home health. Her primary areas of interest in the field include: pediatric speech sound and language delays/disorders, fluency (stuttering) disorders, and cognitive communication disorders. Erin’s favorite thing about being a Speech-Language Pathologist is the opportunity to form a team with the families she serves- “I greatly value education for the family members of patients. I find that providing in-home care is an excellent way to include everyone involved in the plan of care, and meet the family’s needs and goals more comprehensively.”
When she’s not working, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband Rob and their 3 dogs. Her hobbies include learning about dog training, reading, writing, and organizing around the house.
